What You'll Build

Choose Your Track

Pick one. Go deep. Every day moves you closer to something real — a finished project you'll be proud to show.

Coding

Learn to think like a developer. Build websites, interactive programs, and games — in real code, from scratch. Every day you'll write, test, and see your ideas come to life on screen.

You're Working Toward

A working website or interactive project, built by you and ready to share.

Music

Explore music from both sides — creation and performance. Develop your ear, learn music theory, work with production tools, and discover what it means to make something original. Whether you're into beats, instruments, or songwriting, this track meets you where you are.

You're Working Toward

Original musical work — created, developed, and presented at the final showcase.

Robotics

Build something that moves, senses, and responds. Learn physical computing, program microcontrollers, and work with circuits and sensors. You'll solve real engineering problems — and see your solution come to life in front of you.

You're Working Toward

A working robotic or physical computing system, demonstrated at the final showcase.

Every track ends at the same place: the final showcase. Students present their finished work — live — to family, mentors, and the community. Real projects. Real pride.

Why This Is Different

Nothing Else Like This Here

The Only One Here

No comparable program focused on technology, music, and robotics for Nassau youth exists in the Bahamas. The nearest alternatives require a plane ticket. Island Innovators brings it home.

Small by Design

12–16 students per cohort. Every student gets real mentorship and real feedback. This is not a program where you get lost in the crowd.

Outcomes Over Activities

No busywork. Students work toward real projects from day one. Every day builds toward a showcase-ready result they created themselves.

About the Founder

Built by a Bahamian, for Bahamians

Christopher Hilton is a Nassau native and sophomore at Oberlin College & Conservatory studying Jazz Bass Performance and Computer Science. Island Innovators started in his dorm room — an idea that music, technology, and Bahamian youth belonged in the same room together.

The 2025 pilot proved it worked. The 2026 program is what comes next.

For Parents

What You Need to Know

We're not looking for the most experienced applicants — we're looking for the most motivated ones. Students who are curious, committed, and willing to work through something challenging are exactly who this program is built for. Prior knowledge in coding, music, or robotics is not required.
Ages 11–17, currently in Grades 6–12. We accept students entering any grade in the 2026–27 school year.
Students arrive at 9:00 AM and the day runs until 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday, July 13–24. Each day blends instruction, hands-on project work, and collaboration. Every day is intentional and moves toward the final showcase on July 25.
Yes. In 2025 we provided 3 full scholarships and 6 partial scholarships, funded by the Government of The Bahamas, Island Game, and the Bonner Scholars Program. We are committed to keeping the program accessible. If tuition is a barrier, please indicate that on your application or reach out — cost should never stop a motivated student.
The 2026 cohort is capped at 12–16 students. We review every application and look for genuine curiosity, a clear reason for wanting to attend, and commitment to seeing a project through. We don't require prior experience — we want motivated students.
St. John's College, Nassau, Bahamas. The final showcase takes place on Saturday July 25 at the New Providence Community Center.
